We are committed to data minimization and only collect information that is strictly necessary to provide our service, comply with the law, and issue invoices. The legal basis for processing your data is primarily based on contractual necessity (to provide the service you signed up for) and our legal obligations (for financial and tax compliance).

  • Information You Provide to Us:
    • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and a hashed password. We need this to create and manage your account.
    • Billing Information: To comply with legal invoicing requirements, we collect information such as your full name, address, country of residence, and where applicable, your Business Registration Number or Tax ID.
    • Profile Information: You may voluntarily add information to your public profile, which will be visible to other users.
  • Information We Collect Automatically:
    • Usage Data: We automatically log technical information like your IP address for security and fraud prevention purposes.
  • Payment and Payout Information:
    • For Fans: Your payment is processed by our third-party payment processor, We do not receive or store your full credit card number on our servers.
    • For Creators (Payouts & Invoicing): To facilitate payouts and comply with tax laws, we collect and store your bank account details (IBAN and SWIFT/BIC) and full billing address directly on our secure servers. This data is used solely to execute transfers to your account and to generate legally required invoices.
  • Information Shared Between Users:
    • When a Fan pledges Diamonds to a project, the Creator of that project will see the Fan's username to acknowledge their support. We do not share Fans' email addresses or payment information with Creators.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following specific purposes:

  • To Provide the Service: To operate your account, facilitate the funding of projects, and process transactions.
  • To Issue Invoices: To use your billing information to create and store legally compliant invoices for all transactions and payouts.
  • To Process Payouts: To use your provided bank details to transfer earned funds to your designated bank account.
  • To Communicate With You: To send essential service-related emails and to respond to your support requests.
  • To Ensure Security: To monitor for and prevent fraudulent activity and suspicious transactions.
  • To Comply with Legal Obligations: To meet financial reporting, tax, and other regulatory requirements.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share information with third parties who provide services on our behalf. These include:
    • Stripe, Inc.: Handles secure incoming payments from Fans.
    • Banking & Payout Partners: We may share your name and IBAN with banking institutions or payout services (such as Wise) strictly to execute the transfer of funds to you.
    • Cloud Hosting Providers: To host our platform and store data securely.
  • Creators: As mentioned above, we share a Fan's username with the Creator they support.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to a valid legal request from tax or public authorities.

5. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have comprehensive data protection rights. You can exercise many of these rights directly from your account settings.

  • The Right to Access and Update: You can access and update your personal information and payout details through your account settings.
  • The Right to Rectification: You have the right to have inaccurate information corrected.
  • The Right to Erasure: You can delete your account at any time. This will remove your personal profile information, except for data we are legally required to retain (e.g., invoices and transaction records for tax audits).
  • The Right to Data Portability: You can request a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary. Account profile information is kept while the account is active. However, accounting and invoicing data (including billing names, addresses, and IBANs associated with past payouts) must be retained for the period specified by tax regulations (typically 10 years).

We take the security of your bank and personal data very seriously. We use industry-standard encryption and organizational measures to protect your information. Your billing details are stored on secure servers and access is restricted to authorized personnel only for the purpose of processing payments and legal compliance.
